Description

In the early 1870s, Dutch-born Mary Ann Magnin and her husband Isaac Magnin left England and settled in San Francisco, CA.

Mary founded I.Magnin in 1876 and named the chain after her husband Isaac.

The 1906 earthquake and fire leveled their San Francisco store, but during the 1910s, the chain opened shops in six high-end hotels in California and were among the most elegant in America.

When designer Christian Dior visited, he toured the Los Angeles Union Square store, and called it the "White Marble Palace".

The outside of this beautiful vintage purse has a brown alligator exterior with alligator handles and a latch closing.

The interior has a black leather lining with three additional open pockets and one additional zipper pocket inside.

THIS is a REAL COLLECTABLE and it's in excellent vintage condition.

You will LOVE this rare find from I.Magnin.
