LANVIN is a French multinational high fashion house, which was founded by Jeanne Lanvin in 1889.
In the beginning, Jeanne Lanvin made clothes for her daughter, which began to attract the attention of a number of wealthy people, who requested copies for their own children.
Soon after, she was making clothes for their mothers, which lead to opening a boutique to market her products to some of the most famous names in Europe.
In 1909, Lanvin joined the Syndicat de la Couture, which marked her formal status as a couturière.
Jeanne Lanvin died in 1946, but the company is still very much alive today. It is recognized as the third oldest French fashion house still in operation.
The outside of this vintage Lanvin bag has a bluish-gray leather exterior with chain-leather handles, a decorative cloth ribbon and flap-top latch closing.
The interior has a dark blue canvas lining with one additional zipper pocket inside.
A classic style that has been crafted with the finest materials.
